Southern Comfort Designs

Southern Comfort Designs was founded in 2021 out of my basement in a small town in Georgia. I have always loved designing and crafting, so with my Cricut maching and a small heat press I started cutting HTV and making a few shirts for my family and friends and that quickly grew into supporting my son Jared and daughter-in-law Marilyn's high school orchestra program with custom designed spirit wear and class shirts. After doing this for a few years I was encouraged to grow my business by the orchestra director. So with my husbands help I learned about Direct to Garment printing and purchased a DTG printer, pretreat machine and a much larger heat press. Shortly after that we added our first used 6 needle embroidery machine not knowing anything about embroidery. I did always wonder how they worked and was curious to figure it out so with Marilyn's help we figured it out and away I went. Once Marilyn graduated from college, she came to work with me full time-combining her computer & software skills with my craftiness. Since then we started attending local festivals and supporting other school programs with both DTG printing and embroidery. We found we love talking to all the wonderful people who appreciate and buy our items at these events and encouraging us to grow even more. We now have 7 embroidery machines ranging from my original 6 needle to a 15-needle industrial machine. With our strong following on our TikTok shop along with our website and other social media outlets we are hoping to keep growing. We stitch everything ourselves and us high quality genuine products such as Comfort Colors, Carhartt and Jerzees. We design and make products we love to wear and we hope you will b e proud to wear them too!!
